A bright day for misfits to fit in

I don't think I could call this a legitimate music blog without posting something by The Misfits. Luckily, shoegaze rockers A Sunny Day In Glasgow have recently decided to cover one of my favorite Misfits songs, Hybrid Moments.

African punks chant such catchy tunes

Naomi Punk is a an up and coming do it yourself lo fi   punk chick and she is awesome. In fact, she is so cool that until recently the only way to get her music was to email her or write her a letter, pen pal style. Now the nice kids at Leftist Nautical Antiques are selling her great CD and you should buy it. Her song N/A is one of my favorite songs of the year. It it sung by Rwandan kids with the one of the coolest catchiest chanted melody with a stomp beat behind it.Although the rest of the album does not sound similar it is all great. There are about 30 seconds of silence before the track begins so give it some time, it is well worth the wait.

Here is a taste of what the rest of the album sounds like.
